The German rock band TRADEMARK is another new band I had a chance to experience towards the end of summer thanks to my good friend Frank. He often tells me that he really likes ballads, an indication that he might be the peaceful music type. Thus, after I had my first listen to TRADEMARK's debut, "Another Time And Place", I could see why he enjoys this album so much. It does begin with a series of nice, easy-listening tunes tailor-made for those lazy 'sit back and relax in your easy chair with a cup of tea' sorta afternoons. Then all of a sudden--BOOM!--the pace, the tempo and everything changes dramatically by Track #10, "Moving On (Up Down)"--a cool dance tune that sounds like nothing else on the album. And the final two tracks, "Standing On The Edge" and "Talk", have a more harder rocking sound than any of the previous songs.
